The new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 may have been the biggest winner from Microsoft’s E3 press conference, and not just because Johnny Mnemonic himself, Keanu Reeves, was there to talk about it. Cyberpunk’s presentation also revealed the release date — April 16, 2020 — and announced that the game is available for pre-order now.
You have a few options when it comes to pre-ordering the game. It’s available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Standard and Collector’s Edition for each. The contents of both the Standard Edition and Collector’s Edition were leaked before the show, but now we have confirmation that the leaks were real.
One thing everyone should know: The game’s official pre-order site is only selling the digital Standard Edition outside of Poland right now. You can pre-order the other editions, but you’ll have to buy directly from retailers for the moment. We’ve included the relevant links below.
[Update: The official site now includes links to purchase the physical editions in the U.S.]
Cyberpunk 2077 Standard Edition
Most Standard Editions just come with the game, and maybe an in-game pre-order bonus, if you’re lucky. CD Projekt Red does things a little differently. As was the case with The Witcher 3, the Cyberpunk 2077 Standard Edition is jam-packed with extras.
In addition to the game, you’ll get a game case with a reversible cover, a compendium of details about Cyberpunk’s world and lore, postcards and a map of Night City, and a pack of stickers. On the digital side, you’ll receive copies of the game’s soundtrack, an art booklet, the rule book from Cyberpunk 2020 (the tabletop game on which Cyberpunk 2077 was based), and a pack of desktop and mobile wallpapers. Pretty hefty for a Standard Edition.
The Standard Edition will cost $59.99 on all platforms.
Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition
Pre-ordering the Collector’s Edition will get you an even bigger haul. Along with everything featured in the Standard Edition, you’re going to receive a heap of extras. The big ones are a Collector’s Edition Box that resembles a stack of some futuristic hardware, a Steelbook case, a 10-inch figurine of the game’s protagonist leaping from a motorcycle, a hardcover art book, and a copy of the Visitor’s Guide to Night City, which seems to be something of an expanded version of the compendium in the Standard Edition. On top of that, you’re going to receive a set of metal pins, a metal keychain, and a few embroidered patches to spruce up your favorite high-collared jacket.
The Collector’s Edition will cost $249.99 on all platforms.
