Which should you join in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes?

Your main character will make their way to Garreg Mach Monastery shortly after encountering Claude, Edelgard, and Dimitri, rescuing them from the bandits in the forest. The professors of the officer’s academy will invite you to become a student at the Monastery, learning alongside the others, but you will need to pick one of the three houses. Each comes with unique characters for you to use in the game.

Black Eagles

Edelgard leads the Black Eagles, and they originate from the south in the Adrestian Empire. Very quickly at the start of the story, Edelgard will return home and attempt a coup against the corrupted officials of her empire, becoming Empress and taking the fight against Garreg Mach, the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and potentially the Leicester Alliance in an attempt to unite Fódlan, breaking free from the church. You may consider this path if you’re eager to go to war with the many factions in Three Hopes.

Blue Lions

Dimitri leads the Blue Lions, prince of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, to the northeast of Garreg Mach. Unlike Edelgard, The Blue Lions are returning home to prevent a coup against Dimitri, one that will force the young prince to face his uncle. Following the two-year time skip, the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus and the Blue Lions will come to the aid of the church, directly meeting the overwhelming Adrestian Empire in a desperate attempt to bring order to Fódlan.

Golden Deers

Claude is the Golden Deers’ leader and their house comess from the Leicester Alliance to the northeast of Garreg Mach. The Leicester Alliance’s leadership is run by the five major houses within the Alliance, discussing and working together to reach mutual agreements before acting on their decisions. Claude and his company have to return to defend their borders from an Almyrian invasion because the other houses begin several other conflicts in their respective homes.

When the two-year skip is hope, the Leicester Alliance is attempting to defend their borders as much as possible, fearful of an attack from the Adrestian Empire.

The choice is up to you, though, and for you to pick your favorite house with the main characters you like the most. There are multiple characters you can recruit later on as you progress through your company outside of the ones you start with. There is no wrong answer, and playing through the game with the other houses is encouraged after beating it once.
