According to a series of reports popped up on the Internet, there’s a chance Bungie might be already working on Destiny 3, a few weeks after the release of the much appreciated Forsaken expansion for D2.
Based on the rumors, it looks like Europa could be a playable location of the game, which would also be featuring more RPG elements than the latest expansion Forsaken.
Interestingly, rumors claim Luke Smith isn’t the game director anymore, with Chris Barrett helming the third game in the series.
We don’t know whether this piece of information is true or not, neither if such decision could be due to the troubled development and release of Destiny 2, which took quite a long time before turning quite decent for the players.
While representing a step forward for the franchise, Destiny 3 would be featuring a PvPvE mode similar to what the Gambit mode has brought to the Forsaken expansion.
On top of that, it is reported that the development process has only just begun and that there could be another major expansion next year before the title gets announced and released.
Just bear in mind this is only a rumor and, should it be confirmed, it looks like Forsaken and Destiny 2 still have quite a long path ahead.
