PowerA Nano Wired Controller, Comfort Grip, & Case – Pokémon Sweet Assortment

First on the list of must-have gaming items is the PowerA Nano Wired Controller, Protection Case, and Comfort Grip set for the Nintendo Switch. The Sweet Assortment is stunning, with a pastel coloration featuring Pikachu, Pichu, and Jigglypuff.

What I love about PowerA is the quality of each item. From the ergonomic feel of the controllers to the snug fit of my OLED Switch in the case, I know exactly what I am getting when I pick up accessories from this company. The Sweet collection is perfect for fans of bright colors, and the case comes with plenty of storage, including 10 slots for cartridges and a zipper pocket inside for cables, additional game cases, or any other bobbles.

A specific detail to mention on the case is the zipper pull, designed to articulate so they don’t snap or bend. I love this, as it ensures my three-year-old won’t hulk them off the case.

Fans looking to purchase this adorable collection can do so on the PowerA website for $59.99.

It can also be found in-stores at Target locations that have them in stock.

PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller – Charizard & Pikachu

Hardcore Nintendo Switch gamers need a good fit for high-quality controllers, and my favorite for a traditional, mappable option is the PowerA Enhanced. While it runs on a USB cable instead of Bluetooth or rechargeable batteries, this is my personal go-to when doing long gaming sessions – especially Tera Raid battles.

The Enhanced Wired controller is great for any hand size, boasting a nice weight, a larger profile, and a perfectly textured grip. I personally like it for the wide interface, as I have long fingers that dwarf my Joy-Cons.

I have the Charizard Vortex and the older Pikachu model from 2022, and love them both equally. Now we just need a Sylveon model to match my Sweet case.

Fans can purchase the Charizard Vortex Enhanced Wired Controller on the PowerA website for $27.99. It can also be found at Amazon, Gamestop, and Target.

HORI Split Pad Pro Charizard & Pikachu Nintendo Switch Contollers

When it comes to pro Joy-Con controllers, nothing beats HORI. I’ve had three sets since the Nintendo Switch first game out, but my favorite is the Pikachu & Charizard. These stunning, extra-wide controllers snap into the console like regular Joy-Cons, but with a more natural fit to the fingers and palm. If you get sore wrists while gaming, these are fantastic for alleviating the discomfort.

The one drawback to these controllers is that they don’t work when separated from the console, but they are my preferred option for on-the-go gaming, and I always have them with me when I am traveling or playing away from my dock.

Players can find the HORI Nintendo Switch Split Pad Pro on Amazon for $59.99. They come in both the Pikachu & Charizard red, or the Pikachu & Lucario grey.

Leon Pokémon Trainers Sweatshirt

To complement the gaming accessories, Pokémon fans need a cozy sweatshirt option – and the Pokémon Trainers collection is our go-to. Currently, we have a few favorite trainers adorning our family, but the top picks are definitely Leon and Piers. The art on the extra-soft, black fabric is vibrant and sturdy. After numerous washes we haven’t noticed any cracking or fading. This is a huge improvement to the Type pullovers of 2022, which have not held up nearly so well.

One of the biggest wins for these sweaters is the fabric choice. The pullover is made of a plush, flexible fabric that isn’t too heavy. It’s perfect to wear over a T-shirt when going out, or as pajamas for a night of at-home gaming.

Fans looking to sport their favorite characters can find the Pokémon Trainers sweatshirt on The Pokémon Center website for $49.99.

Pokémon Loungefly Bags & Purses

Pokémon bags are likely one of my top favorite ways to shout my Poké pride when heading out for a movie or shopping trip – and Loungefly has me covered.

While it may seem excessive to have three different bags, each of mine shares a specific purpose. The brown Pikachu and Eevee cross-body bag is my everyday option for running to the store, while the Pokémon Succulents handbag fits my Nintendo Switch case and is perfect for travel. I save my Pikachu and Eevee floral cross-body clutch for date nights, as it is just classy enough to dress up any outfit while still being fun.

Each bag has ample space and has held up shockingly well to regular use. My cross-body bag has been my regular option for four years and shows no signs of wearing out.

Each of these bags are exclusive options via Boxlunch, and can be found below!

Pokémon Succulents Woven Handbag – $79.90

Pokémon Sleeping Eevee & Pikachu Crossbody Bag/Clutch – $69.90

Pikachu & Eevee Crossbody Bag – $39.90

It is important to note that many bags from these collections can be out of stock or unavailable, but new styles of bags come out regularly. Because of this, fans can find a bag that matches their preference and style – and match it to their preferred Pokémon favorites.

Pokémon Day 2024 will be happening on February 17th, and with luck, fans will have plenty of new games and activities to look forward to as the weather starts to warm up. In the meantime, we can celebrate our Pokémon love with cute additions to personal collections, ensuring we are ready for any event or release.
