How to complete breach sequences in Cyberpunk 2077

Time to jack in.

Not all devious doings in Cyberpunk 2077 will land you in trouble with cops. For one, the game will task you with breaching various items around Night City, in part to distract or avoid enemies. Though, you can also receive some splendid bonus materials, as well, but you’ll need to be on your A-game.

Although the numbers initially make it look like rocket science, you can certainly get the hang of it in no time. Here’s how to start.

Solving a breach sequence

To breach any and all devices your heart desires, begin by hovering over the red icon on the object. If it does not appear, open up the Breach Protocol quickhack. Next, proceed and follow the Jack In prompts until you end up at a breach sequence. You then want to take the following steps.

  1. You’ll start by selecting a number and letter in the first row. First notice that, in lime green, it highlights the column underneath your possible selection. This area indicates where you will make the choice after.

2. In the first row, you want to select the pair of symbols that matches the start of one of the sequences given to you on the right (ex: 1C in image above).

  • If you have more than one sequence on the right of the screen, make sure that the first pair of symbols in the other sequence is in your first selection’s lime green highlighted column (which is BD, here).

3. As you can see from the image above, you’ll want to continue the sequence by not only looking for your next required pair of symbols, but also the pair required after, which needs to be in the green portion (here, that is the 1C to the left of BD).

If you find yourself failing miserably, our best advice is to write down your selections ahead of time. The sequence’s 30 second timer will not begin until you pick your first pair of symbols.

Now, you can get away with only completing one sequence; but, you will not have the bonuses from the other if it is not also done successfully. Typically, these bonuses come in the form of extra disabled cameras, earning large sums of cash, or reducing other quickhack cooldowns.
