  • Go to the Nvidia control panel from the Windows settings bar.

Click on Manage 3D setting in the options panel on the left under the 3D Settings entry.

Click on Program Settings in the selection bar above the settings and next to Global Settings.

Look for Apex Legends among the programs installed in the PC. If it is not present or you are bored looking for it, press on Add. In the first case, go directly to Step 8, while in the second case follow all the Steps.

If you do not find it in the selection box, click on Browse.

At this point look for the Installation folder. It should generally be found on Local Disk (C :), Program Files (x86), Origin Games.

Open the Apex folder and double-click on the r5Apex.exe file.

Look for the CUDA - GPUs entry and select Use these GPUs by selecting the best performing GPU from your own.

Look for the OpenGL rendering GPU entry and switch between Use global settings (Auto-select) and select your most powerful graphics card.

At this point go back to the game-saving folder on Local Disk (C :) and find the r5Apex.exe file, right click and go to Properties. Here go to Compatibility and select Disable fullscreen optimizations and then click Change high DPI settings.

Here select the item "Override high DPI scaling behavior, Scaling performed by:." Press OK, then Apply and then OK again and close the program.

At this point, open the game and go to the graphics settings. You have two choices: either follow our previous guide or follow these settings:

  • Display Mode: Full Screen
  • Aspect Ratio: 16: 9 (native)
  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080 (native)
  • Field of View: 80
  • Color Blind Mode: off
  • V-Sync: Disabled
  • Adaptive Resolution FPS Target: 0
  • Anti-aliasing: None
  • Texture Streaming Budget: High (but it depends on your graphics card so you may also need Medium or Low). Maximum FPS is set by None, but our advice is at least Low.
  • Texture Filtering: Bilinear
  • Ambient Occlusion Quality: Disabled
  • Sun Shadow Coverange: Low
  • Sun Shadow Detail: Low
  • Spot Shadow Detail: Disabled
  • Volumetric Lighting: Disabled
  • Dynamic Spot Shadows: Disabled
  • Model Detail: Medium (or Low)
  • Effects Detail: Medium (or Low)
  • Impact Marks: Low (or Disabled)
  • Ragdolls: Medium (or Low)

Remember to disable IN GAME OVERLAY in the GEFORCE Experience panel, the Game bar in the Windows Gaming settings panel and Game Mode.

Go to Origin, Settings, Application Settings, More, Origin in Game and disable Enable Origin in Game.
