Modern Warfare Remastered How to Get DLC Maps

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is one of March 2019’s free PlayStation Plus games and it lets you jump into the multiplayer maps you loved back in 2007 and 2008. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get the DLC Maps (Variety Map Pack) in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

Different maps have slowly been added to the game since it launched alongside Infinite Warfare a few years ago. It started out with just 10 of the 16 original maps, but since then the rest have been added, alongside some new additions.

How to Get Variety Map Pack in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered?

Just as was the case for the original game, the four DLC maps make up the Variety Map Pack and it is a paid piece of DLC. It will set you back $14.99 on whichever platform you’re playing.

  • Method #1: Since the game is pretty old now, you will probably have to use the store’s search function, typing in either the game’s name or “Variety Map Pack’.
  • Method #2: Alternatively, you can access the map pack’s store page from in-game. From the main multiplayer menu, scroll down to the store option, then select ‘Map Packs’, then click on the icon for it.

How to Play the DLC Maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered?

Once you’ve purchased it, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Variety Map Pack maps will automatically be added into rotation in multiplayer.

However, players have found that they appear very rarely, which is likely down to a small percentage of the playerbase having access to them. At the moment, there are no DLC Map specific game modes, as there have been before. You can also play the extra maps in a Private Match. Simply select one from the multiplayer menu, then choose which map you want to play on.

Do note, however, that if you played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered back in 2017, deleted it from your platform since, and have re-downloaded it with PlayStation Plus, you will have to download the maps again, either from the store or your library.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get the DLC Maps (Variety Map Pack) in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
