How To Get The Spare Rations in Destiny 2

Acquiring the Spare Rations hand cannon takes a bit of luck and some determination

It’s time for Guardians in Destiny 2 to make their way over to The Drifter and take part in his epic competition, the Gambit Prime. Not only do you have the chance to acquire some incredible armor, but there are some new exotic weapons tied to the modified PvPvE game mode. For those interested playing in Gambit Prime for the first time, here are some excellent tips to remember, and if you’re working towards the Reckoning, we have a guide for you over here. But right, we’re focusing on a Gambit Prime exclusive weapon, the legendary hand cannon known as Spare Rations.

The Spare Rations

How Do You Get It?

To earn the Spare Rations hand cannon, you need to do quite a bit of grinding. This weapon is only available from playing the Gambit Prime game mode. The only known ways to receive this weapon is by looting it through a powerful engram you loot in Gambit Prime, completing Gambit Prime matches, and increasing your Infamy rank. You won’t find it for sale in The Drifter’s inventory, so getting this weapon to drop is all about luck.

Unfortunately, because this weapon can have a random set of perks attached to it when it drops you may not like what you get. You’ll have to keep grinding and hoping your luck pays out until you find one in your collection that works best with your Guardian.

What kind of random perks can it have? Here’s the full list:

Good luck, Guardians.
