Everything we know about Solstice of Heroes 2020 in Destiny 2

Time to grind.

Destiny 2

Solstice of Heroes 2020 is on the horizon in Destiny 2, bringing back an event that has been somewhat questionable for the last couple of years. If you really enjoy a huge grind, then this is the event for you.

When is the Solstice of Heroes?

Solstice of Heroes 2020 will take place from August 11 to September 8.

Do you need the Season Pass to play it?

No. The Solstice of Heroes is available for all players to take part in.

What is the Solstice of Heroes?

Solstice of Heroes in an in-game event to celebrate the handwork of all the Guardians out there who keep saving the world. For the most part, the event takes place in the European Aerial Zone, a special event map where you will take on Hive, Cabal, and Fallen enemies. Depending on how you do, many treasure chests will spawn that contain all kinds of loot.

Does it having glowing armor again?

Yes, the event will feature a range of glowing armor you can get, with a suitably ridiculous list of things you need to do to get it to actually glow. We have no information on whether that armor will matter for more than a month this time.

You will also be able to buy Ornaments from the Eververse that will turn any armor for your class into glowing armor.

Who is the event aimed at?

For veteran players, the grind to get the armors will be the main appeal, but newer players should not overlook how well this event will help them raise their power level. You will be able to earn Solstice Key Fragments and unlock Solstice Packages that contain powerful gear, and new armor upgrades.
