Genshin Impact has introduced a new event, this time centered around gliding. Each day a new gliding course will be revealed, and you can finish them with the quickest time possible to earn prizes.
The event introduces some fun new gliding mechanics during the time trials, and the better you do, the better the rewards you will get.
When does the event start and end?
The event will run from December 4 at 10:00 am server time to December 14 at 3:59 am server time.
What do I need to do to take part?
As long as you are Adventure Rank 20, and having finished the Fly High quest, you can take part in the event. Up up your Events tab in the menu and you will be able to mark the daily challenge location on your map.
What are the gliding challenges?
The gliding challenges are daily aerial courses that you will need to complete by gliding. You will need to follow a course and fly through booster rings to speed yourself up. During Gliding Challenges, you can use the Ascend skill while in flight. Using this skill will cause you to fly a certain distance directly upwards. You can also collect particles in the air to charge up your Sprint ability. Once fully charged, use this ability to hurl yourself forward through the air. You can store up to two Sprint Charges at once.
If you run out of time or spent too long on the ground, the challenge will be failed and you will need to restart it. There will also be a new obstacle called Wind Breakers, yellow glowing rings that will actually slow you down. You can also crash into ballons that will limit your vision for a brief time. Finally, there are event explosive balloons that can knock you off course if you hit them.
What are the rewards?
Even daily race has different rewards, and they are broken into three tiers, Bronze, Silver, and Gold. If you finish the race quickly and collect all the golden floating medallions at the same time, you can win the Gold tier, which will automatically unlock all the lower tier rewards as well. You can collect your rewards in the quest details screen of the Event tab.
