Because Pokémon Go Fest 2020 attendees were able to complete 16 of the 32 global challenges at the event, Pokémon Go fans everywhere were able to unlock Enigma Week as an Ultra Unlock. There are three Ultra Unlock weeks, and the second one is Engima Week, featuring Pokémon with a mysterious and mystical background. The weekly event does not come with a timed research task, but there are tasks you receive by spinning photo discs at PokéStops and Gyms.

The Engima Week tasks don’t launch in the game until on August 7 at 1 pm PT and you have until August 17 to complete them. Normally, research tasks for special events launch in New Zealand ahead of time, giving trainers all over the world a better idea of what to expect when it unlocks for them. However, for Engima Week, players will not learn about these tasks until it all becomes available at the same time.

Enigma Week research task and rewards

These are the available research tasks you can receive during the event, and the corresponding reward for completing them.

  • Make three curveball throws – Baltoy encounter
  • Win a raid – Staryu encounter
  • Catch three Psychic-type Pokémon – One rare candy

It does not appear there is any timed research task for Enigma Week. The timed research tasks featured five tasks trainers had to complete before the end of the week to access Pokémon exclusive to the event, alongside rewards. It looks like Dragon Week, the first of the Ultra Unlock weeks, was the only one to have it.
