Where to find Haunted Forest Caches in Festival of the Lost 2020 – Destiny 2

Check every nook and cranny.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

One of the new mechanics in Festival of the Lost 2020 for Destiny 2 is the Haunted Forested Caches that you can now find as you perform your runs through the spookiest zone in the game. These caches are stuffed with loot, so finding and opening them is a great way to increase the value of your time spent in the Haunted Forest.

To open them, you will need to get some Cipher Decoders, so make sure you have plenty of them in your inventory before you enter the Haunted Forest.

The good news is that if you don’t find any at all as you move through the Haunted Forest, there will be some at the end when you make it to the final chest. Here you will find five caches that you can open with the Cipher Decoders to try and get yourself some extra loot.

The caches look just like the EDZ chests, and can be found tucked away in awkward to see spots, around corners in the architecture, and generally in places that will not instantly jump out at you. It is important this year to not just blast through the Haunted Forest as quickly as you can, but to make sure you are having a good look around to see if you can spot any of the extra caches.

You will need to open these caches to complete some of the Triumphs for this Festival of the Lost event, so make sure you are taking the time to farm up those Cipher Decoders as well.
