How to get the monster statue in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Add a little city-destroying mayhem to your island.

You have the chance to draft your island with as much of your personality as you want to display in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. For those who love big monster movies, the large monster statue you can get and place on your island is a fun thing to add to it. You can place it in several places. But how do you get it?

Obtaining it is a straightforward affair. The first step is upgrading the Resident Services center until it’s a building, not a tent. This process can take you several days, so give it some time and naturally progress through New Horizons doing tasks for Tom Nook, taking care of your residents, and maximizing your time spent each day. Eventually, the Resident Services center will upgrade, and then you’ll have Isabelle join your island to help Tom out at that location.

After it’s a building, you can go inside of it and use the terminal found in the right-hand corner where you can spend your Nook Miles. You want to go to the top option to pick to redeem your Nook Miles, and then scroll down until you see an item called Monster statue. You’ll see a preview of the item on the left side, which is a Godzilla-like creature, and you can receive it for 5,000 Nook Miles. You can pick it up at any time to add to your island and place it in any location you believe it’s a suitable choice.

There are plenty of things to redeem on your Nook Miles on, but you can also adorn your island with plenty of items you make yourself through DIY projects. Make sure to visit Nook’s Cranny every few days to see what Tommy and Timmy have available for you to purchase.
