How to get the Web Slinger Legendary Assault Rifle in Borderlands 3

It's a wall crawler.

The Web Slinger is a Legendary Assault Rifle that is available in Borderlands 3. You can get the weapon as a random drop from Scourge the Invincible Martyr in the Takedown at the Guardian Breach. You only gain access to the Takedown at the Guardian Breach after you have finished the main story. Once the campaign is finished, you can visit Tannis in the Med Bay on Sanctuary III and interact with the blue crystal on the shelf directly across the main door. This will allow you to accept the Takedown mission, which you can start by traveling to Minos Prime and then using the drop pod.

While you can jump straight from the campaign into the Takedown, it is advisable to level up first and farm some better weapons. Scourge is the effective raid boss of the Takedown, so you will want to be well-armed to take him out.

The Web Slinger can drop with the following elements:

  • Incendiary
  • Corrosive
  • Radiation
  • Shock

The Web Slinger fires spiraling bullets, and will occasionally do Cryo damage, slowing enemies, no matter what the base elemental damage type is. Now, at the moment, we don’t really consider this weapon to be worth grinding for. It is pretty weak, especially when compared to recent additions to the game like the OP Q.

That said, Scourge does drop other weapons, so while you might be wondering if you should specifically grind for this weapon, we would have to say no, but Scourge is definitely worth farming for the Smog Legendary SMG. It is also impossible to know how future patches will impact the Web Slinger, so it could be worth getting further down the line.
