Once you’ve reached the Dreaming City and explored, you will receive a weekly bounty from Petra Venj called the “Ascendant Challenge.” To access the Ascendant Plane in the Dreaming City, and to find many other of its secrets, you will need to sip the Tincture of Queensfoil.

What is Tincture of Queensfoil

According to the lore tab, a Tincture of Queensfoil “opens your mind to the secrets of the Dreaming City.” It seems to us like you’re messing with some hallucinogens, but if it leads to secrets and loot, we are okay with that.

How to Get Tincture of Queensfoil

As with most items in the Dreaming City, you can get Tincture of Queensfoil by completing certain events and challenges, such as Petra Venj’s other bounties. If you are fortunate, you can get some by opening Ascendant chests. But there is also a guaranteed way to purchase Tincture of Queensfoil if you’ve got the currency and don’t mind a walk.

Finding Huginn can be a little bit complicated, so follow these instructions carefully. Spawn at the Divalian Mists in the Dreaming City, then hop on your Sparrow. Head to the blue crystal tunnel that leads to the Spine Of Keres, and follow along until you reach a circular plaza before the first building with the large tower. Instead of going that way, turn to the left, and you will see a bridge. On the near side of the bridge, you will see a small pathway that leads down the cliff. Follow this until you reach a portal, then step through it.

Follow the next corridor until you reach a large blue crystal, then in the next room, take a left up some stairs. Follow the hallway, straight past the statue, and through the door that is nearly hidden behind it. This will bring you to Harbinger’s Seclude, and another portal in the back left of the room. Go through and head into the cave on the left when you arrive at your destination. This will bring you to a large room with some enemies in it. You will find Huginn in the back left of the room.

The left room has an Ahamkara skull named Muninn, who will sell you Charges of Light for 25 Baryon Bough, and the room on the right has Huginn, who will sell you Tincture of Queensfoil for 50 Baryon Bough.

Huginn Ignores You

Unless you’ve already got some, in that case, it seems like he ignores you. If you get this message, it means you have the max stacks of Tincture of Queensfoil in your Inventory. If you need some assistance getting more Baryon Bough, we’ve got you covered
