Pokemon Masters – Can You Capture Other Pokemon?

Capturing Pokemon is an essential part of the game, but is it apart of Pokemon Masters with the new highlight of Sync Pairs?

The Sync Pairs are the main attraction in Pokemon Masters. They feature iconic trainers teaming up with their ideal Pokemon from the anime, the games, and the television shows. While these iconic trainers are the main focus of the game, can you go about changing these combinations and capture new Pokemon?

Can You Capture Other Pokemon in Pokemon Masters?

Unfortunately, you cannot. The Sync Pairs are locked together in Pokemon Masters. The developers wanted to make it an easy to play experience for those who may not follow Pokemon as carefully as hardcore fans of the franchise typically do. Players who want to optimize their combinations are going to want to pay attention to the weaknesses of their opponent and view the role of their Sync Pairs. We have a guide describing how these roles function in another article.

While players cannot capture new Pokemon and mix up the combinations, there are 65 different Sync Pairs already in the game. You may recognize several of them. One of the pairs features two forms of Brock. There’s the traditional Brock with his Onyx, and then there’s the Sygna Suit Brock with a Tyranitar. These two have different moveset from the traditional Brock, making them stand out and have a new dynamic to the game. If this is anything to go by, then trainers are likely going to see other alternative Sync Pairs of the same ones in the future or during different events.

To make your Sync Pairs stand out, you’re going to want to cover how to level them up, how to increase their Star Power, and how to increase their potential as they level up. These are all important concepts to keep in mind while playing Pokemon Masters, and tackling the harder missions and stages in the game.
