It wouldn’t really be a Story of Season title if you couldn’t romance some of the folks who live in the town, and thankfully Olive Town is filled with folks who are looking for love. There are 10 different characters that can be romanced in the game, 5 male and 5 female.

The basics of romance lie in simple conversation, as you will need to talk to the townsfolk and give them gifts to increase your friendship level with them. After that, you can confess your interest in a character.
They all effectively have the same requirements, need a total of six hears in your notebook, and you must have seen 5 of their special encounters. These are unique moments for the character that will unfold over the course of the game. You will also need to give them the Confession Pendant, which can be purchase in the General Store for 10,000 Gold.
You can propose to a character only when you have 10 hearts in the notebook, have seen 9 of their special encounters, and have a log cabin or larger home. You cannot start a future with someone unless you have a place to live with them, after all. This will also require the Blue Feather, which is available from the General Store for 20,000 Gold.
