Genshin Impact 1.1 update leak hints at new weapons and items, no Inazuma inclusion

There are five different weapon types in Genshin Impact, with the standard Sword offering a solid middle ground of attack speed and damage. Swords will be used by Ayaka, Jean, Keqing, Qiqi, the Traveler, Bennet, Kaeya, and Xingqiu, so you will need to get to grips with the different build across those characters to figure out exactly which sword is best for them.

That said, there are some pretty clear winners if you just compare all the Swords to each other. You can find our current tier list for swords below, although this will be changed over time, either due to updates or discovering new techniques/builds with characters.

  • S+ – Aquila Favonia, Skyward Blade
  • S – Blackcliff Longsword, Prototype Rancour, The Alley Flash
  • A – Black Sword, Flute, Royal Long Sword, Lion’s Roar, Favonius Sword
  • B – Sacrificial Sword, Dark Iron Sword, Traveler Handy Sword, Iron Sting, Fillet Blade (strong on specific builds)
  • C – Cool Steel, Harbinger of Dawn, Skyrider Sword
  • D – Silver Sword, Dull Blade
