The Outer Worlds leans heavily on how the world felt the future would look in the 1950s. Yes, it modernizes that idea a lot and builds upon it in exciting ways, but it keeps the cool science-fiction weapons where they should be, which is front and center. In this guide, we will show you where to find the Mind Control Ray Gun in The Outer Worlds.

The Outer Worlds – How To Get The Mind Control Ray Gun

The Mind Control Ray Gun is one of many science weapons in the game, and it will both damage enemies and turn them against each other. You won’t be able to get it until you head to Monarch, a dangerous place for any human in the game. You can always go to another place and level up a little, finishing up some quests for other NPCs if you like.

The first thing you need to do is get your ship working, so play through the game until you have the Unreliable powered up. When you do that, head upstairs to the Captain’s Quarters and read the terminal entries for information on the gun. Head to the terminal beside ADA, and set course for Monarch.

Make your way to Fallbrook, and find Duncan, the merchant. He will sell you a datapad that you need for the quest. After that, follow the quest marker to Cascadia and the factory. When you arrive at the factory head to the last room, you’ll need to do some jumping here, so be careful.

You should see a door beside the exit that leads to an elevator shaft. Jump across, then climb the ladder. You will need to jump again, and you will find the Mind Control Ray Gun.

Be careful in your search for the Mind Control Ray Gun, as Monarch is a bit of a step up compared to the previous planet you were on.
