Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a big game with plenty of action. But the developers, Respawn, made sure the story and its characters are the central focus of the game. So who are the voices behind the characters?

Cameron Monaghan plays Cal Kestis

Fallen Order Cal Kestis

Cameron Monaghan is a familiar name for those who have been enjoying Fox’s DC series, Gotham. The young man played Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska, who was a show’s unique take on the Joker, Batman’s most prominent foe, without fully becoming the signature villain. He was a staple in the series throughout its run. You can also catch him on Shameless as Ian Gallagher, Amityville: The Awakening as James, the DC animated movie Reign of the Superman as Superboy, and much more.

Jedi: Fallen Order is Monaghan’s first video game. He plays Cal Kestis, the game’s main character, a Jedi padawan who survived Order 66 and has been on the run from the Empire.

Debra Wilson players Cere

Getting new voice actors in video games is never a bad thing, but veterans should always feel welcome. Debra Wilson has been in more games than many have played. She was in Days Gone as Addison Walker, The Outer Worlds as Sophia Akande, and she played a host of characters in Fallout: New Vegas, in addition to her numerous roles in other games.

In Jedi: Fallen Order, Wilson plays Cere, the mysterious Jedi mentor who helps Cal along his journey. We don’t have too many details about her yet, but we know she’s going to serve a vital role in Cal’s survival in the game in escaping the Empire.

Ben Burtt plays BD-1

Fallen Order BD-1

Every Star Wars character needs a worthwhile droid companion. Cal gets his in BD-1, a brand new droid model created for the game. The voice behind the little companion is Ben Burtt, a huge Star Wars veteran. No, he didn’t appear in the movies, but he served as the sound designer for Star Wars episodes one through seven. He’s the creative mind who helped create the iconic lightsaber hum and assisted in the first beeps and whistles the droids make.

Because Burtt has a considerable history with the franchise, it fits for him to provide the iconic beeps for the game’s droid, BD-1.

Daniel Roebuck plays Greez

Fallen Order Greez

A Jedi padawan on the run needs a place to call home and feel safe. That’s where Greez comes in, offering his ship, the Stinger Mantis, for a sanctuary to Cal during his journey. Daniel Roebuck voices the four-armed ship captain. Roebuck is an American actor who has been in several television shows, such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Criminal Minds, Star Trek: The Continuing Mission, Grimm, and The Man in the High Castle.

Players will use Greez’s Stinger Mantis to visit different locations, and to use it as a home base.

Forest Whitaker plays Saw Gerrera

Fallen Order Saw Gerrera

The notable Saw Gerrera, the destructive rebellion operative who takes operations to the extreme, is also making an appearance. Gerrera is played by veteran actor Forest Whitaker, who first played the role in the film Rogue One and voiced the character in the television animated show, Star Wars Rebels. Fans will recognize Whitaker from his work in Black Panther, Lee Daniel’s The Butler, Where the Wild Things Are, and The Last King of Scotland, for which he received an Oscar for his performance.

Star Wars fans have become well accustomed to seeing Gerrera over the years. He first showed up in the Star Wars animated television show The Clone Wars, and since then, he’s been causing trouble for the Empire and giving the Rebels the appearance of being terrorists, not freedom fighters.

Gideon Emery

Right now, there’s a mystery as to who Gideon Emery is going to play. Many may know Emery for his work as Brûz the Chopper from Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Governor Sloan from Halo 5: Guardians, Samson from Dragon Age: Inquisition, Fergus Reid from Wolfenstein: The New Order, and plenty of other notable roles.

Before the release of the game, we’re not too sure who Emery is set to play. EA and Respawn are keeping a tight lip on all of the story details, but many people suggest he’s going to play an older character, potential Darth Maul or Obi-wan Kenobi. However, if anyone were going to play Darth Maul, it would be Sam Witwer, who voiced the character in the animated show Clone Wars and Star Wars Solo.
