Love is in the air, and we must battle.

Pokémon Go’s PvP mode, the Battle League, features various unique cups and leagues players can participate in. These leagues and cups come with several rules and requirements, allowing players to test out and try Pokémon that break up their options every so often, giving all players the chance to battle. The Battle League cups are the most unique, and the Love Cup will be one that will be happening from February 8 at 1 PM to February 15 at 1 PM PST. Because it crosses dates with Valentine’s Day, the Love Cup features a distinct theme.

Players will only be able to use Pokémon that do not exceed 1,500 CP, they must not be legendary or mythical, and these Pokémon have to have a red or pink coloration on them.

The Love Cup will be a good time for players to try out their more unique choices. We suspect there will be some more obvious choices, but there’s a large array of choices for players to pick and use in a team. The Love Cup will be happening simultaneously as the Master League, Master League Premier Cup, and the Master League Classic. If you do not have a powerful end-all, be-all Pokémon, the Love Cup is a great time for you to rank up consistently.
