Just call it Mad Moxxi’s Eleven. Or Four.
For those who are looking to expand the single player story for Borderlands 3, Mad Moxxi is a pretty safe bet.
Today, Gearbox Software confirmed its first campaign add-on for the hit sequel, which features the scantily-clad fan favorite, as well as a space casino designed by none other than Handsome Jack. Titled Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, it’s set to arrive on Dec. 19.
The debut trailer for the expansion is available below, with your Vault Hunters entering Jack’s elaborate casino as part of a heist organized by Moxxi. She insists “it’s personal,” since Jack essentially stole her designs to put it together.
As part of the heist, your team will attempt to move in and take control of the casino. That’s easier said than done, though, with enemies waiting to take your team down. But the loot will be worth it, with several new Legendary weapons and gear, along with additional cosmetic items. There will also be new side missions and crew challenges.
Keep one thing in mind, though: Gearbox notes that the DLC is meant for players who have reached level 13 or higher. So you might want to take the extra few weeks to level up within the game to be sure you’re ready to take a gamble when Mad Moxxi arrives.
Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot will be available to Season Pass holders, as well as those who purchase the Super Deluxe Edition of Borderlands 3. Individual pricing isn’t available yet.
