Bungie has decided to take a step back and delayed few upcoming Destiny 2 features and content i.e. 2018 Destiny 2 roadmap has been delayed.
Bungie has delayed some of the new features and content expected to drop as part of the next update, 1.1.3, going live as early as next week for everyone playing Destiny 2.
Among these we can find exotic repetition reduction, nightfall unique rewards and companion vendor viewing, originally expected to drop in a matter of days and instead now coming March 27 as part of the upcoming 1.1.4 update.
If that wasn’t enough, Exotic weapon and armor sandbox changes have been pushed back to May, while were originally slated for March 27. Something similar has happened to Nightfall unique rewards.
“With today’s update we’ve moved a few items out to later releases – this is because we are trying to ensure each feature we add hits a sufficiently high-quality bar,” Bungie’s Christopher Barrett explained in a post on Bungie.
“So while we really wanted to get nightfall strike unique weapons into your hands next week to coincide with nightfall scoring, it’s more important that each of those rewards live up to the difficulty it will take to earn them. They have to be super cool, so we’re giving the artists extra time to make sure they are… super cool.”
A new roadmap is now available, complete with rumble competitive multiplayer game mode joining 6v6 Iron Banner and mayhem in Destiny 2’s new rotating weekly Crucible playlist with update 1.1.4.
