If you’re following the pirate’s goal of amassing enormous wealth, you’ve probably been striking out on many voyages provided by the Gold Hoarders. This guide will help you solve the riddle that is part of the A Wealth Raided by the Lowly So Mean Guidot voyage.
As part of this riddle, you’ll be vising two islands; Crook’s Hollow and Snake Island. Both are close to each other, so your journey should be pretty quick.
Crook’s Hollow Riddle
On Crook’s Hollow beneath the sands, the gold lies hidden from thieving hands
Like most first lines in riddles, this just refers to the initial location. Head to Crook’s Hollow and make landfall to reveal the second line of the riddle.
Discover the cavern camp’s forgotten prisoner, where light is dim, step 6 paces East-by-South East, dig for a chest full to the brim
This riddle’s clues are actually quite good. Head into the cave system on Crook’s Hollow and find the skeleton of what used to be a prisoner. From there, use your compass and head the required number of steps in the right direction and break ground. Be wary of skeletons that will spawn to try and dissuade you from taking their treasure.
Snake Island Riddle
On Snake Island, brave and old, I sought to hide my plundered gold
Like most first lines in riddles, this just refers to the initial location. Head to Snake Island but be aware of the many snakes on land. Once you’re there, the next line of the riddle will appear.
Find the Sunstone on the South West beach of the largest isle, this merry dance will be your worth, 7 paces North-by-North West and break the earth
This riddle is to be taken literally. On the south-west bead, look for a large stone with a sun painted on it. Then use your compass to walk off the paces in the correct direction and dig up the treasure.
