Nothing is ever easy with Shin Malphur. The Weekly Reset in Destiny 2 brought a new Exotic Hand Cannon in the form of the Lumina, but if you want it you will need to finish some quest steps!
One of the steps can send you to a range of locations, in search of a lockbox. One of those places is the Spine of Keres. In this guide, we detail to you exactly where you can locate the lockbox.
Spine of Keres – Lumina Quest Location
Spawn in at the Mists, and hop on your Sparrow. You will need to swing all the way around towards the Spine of Keres, which is where you use the Oracle Device to converse with the Queen. You don’t want to go into the palace, however. Instead, go left and run up the path, the up the stone stairs to the right. Continue left until you reach a walkway at the back of the palace, as shown in the image below.
Now, continue down the walkway, and you will see a jutting rock with some trees on it, once again pictured below. You are looking for the one bathed in sunlight, not the dark one that is closer to the palace.
Jump across to it, then around to the left-hand side, over the outermost part of the rock on onto the back of the outcropping. You will find a dark corner with a single tree and some long grass. You’re going to see the lockbox in the grass. It’s a worn green color, with green lights on it. And there you go, the Spine of Keres Lumina quest step location holds no more mysteries for you, and you can move on to the next step!
If you get here and the box is gone, it will have rotated to a new location, so check your System Positioning Device. So far, it can be either Shaft 13 on the EDZ, or Excavation Site II on Io, or the Spine of Keres at the Dreaming City, the Sinking Docks on Titan, the High Plains on the Tangled Shore, the Mistson Nessus, or Alton Dynamo on Mars, and the Lighthouse on Mercury. Click on either link for a guide on how to get there, and where to find the lockbox.
We are working on a full guide for the Lumina quest, and are updating it as we move through the steps. Best of luck, Guardian.
