Everything you need to know about PlayStation 4’s Fortnite Celebration Cup

Go solo and you can earn part of a million dollar prize pool.

Sony’s PlayStation 4 is hosting a Fortnite tournament called the Fornite Celebration Cup. Players from all around the world will be able to compete for a range of prizes, including a $1 million prize pool. Players will also be able to earn Spays, a Pickaxe, and exclusive skin. The tournament will be split over two days, with different prizes available each day.

The competition is Solos only, and will only be available on PlayStation 4.

When does the Fortnite Celebration Cup take place?

The event will run from Feb. 15-16, with the top-performing players being eligible for prizes on each day.

What prizes are available?

Day 1

On Day 1, Feb. 15, top performing players on each regional leaderboard will have the opportunity to earn the following:

  • Top 50% – “Take Cover” Spray
  • Top 25% – “Wild Accent” Pickaxe
  • Top 5% – “Tango” Outfit

Day 2

On Day 2, Feb. 16, top performing players on each regional leaderboard will have the opportunity to win a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.

Regions for the event are as follows:

  • NA East
  • Europe
  • NA West
  • Brazil
  • Oceania
  • Asia
  • Middle East

Top players in each region will be eligible for the following cash prizes:

  • 1st    $500
  • 2nd    $400
  • 3rd    $300
  • 4th    $275
  • 5th    $265
  • 6th    $255
  • 7th    $250
  • 8th    $245
  • 9th    $240
  • 10th    $235
  • 11th-20th    $230
  • 21st-30th    $225
  • 31st-40th    $220
  • 41st-50th    $215
  • 51st-75th    $210
  • 76th-100th    $205
  • 101st-250th    $200

How to take part in the Fortnite Celebration Cup

To take part in the Fortnite Celebration Cup, players need to make sure their Fortnite account is at level 15, and 2-Factor Authentication is enabled on their Epic account. 

To find out exactly when the tournament will be taking place in your region, start Fortnite on your PlayStation 4 console and head to the “Compete” tab in-game for details on how and when to play.

Remember, this tournament is Solos only, so if you have a squad, you usually compete with, prepare to go it alone.
