It is the spooky season in Fortnite, and the special Fortnitemares event has begun. The new event means all sorts of new challenges to complete, and loot to get. One of the new Challenges is to destroy haunted household furniture, so in this guide, we will talk about where to find it.

The good thing about this Challenge is that you can find Haunted Household Furniture all over the map. The bad news is that it seems to be pretty rare. All you need to do is find any house, then go inside and check. Built-up areas are best, and locations like Pleasant Park, Sweat Sands, Holly Hedge, Misty Meadows, and Lazy Lake all have plenty of houses. Unfortunately, they now contain a lot of other players, so they have become death traps.
It is also pretty easy to spot the haunted household furniture because it floats in the air and has strange energy glowing around it. When you find one, smash it up or shoot it until it gets utterly destroyed. Once it is gone, the furniture disappears. These do not seem to have set spawns, so you can’t return to the same spot in multiple games to destroy the same one over and over.
Another thing to watch out for are the new enemies that can spawn in. While you are walking along, a piece of scenery like a car or dumpster can suddenly turn into a shambling zombie, and it will try to kill you. Shoot it, or go for a quieter option if you don’t want to attract attention because it will try to hunt you down. These things can smash through walls to get you.
You need to destroy five pieces of haunted household furniture in total, but you don’t need to do it all in one game, and you have a little under a week to do these Challenges.
