Each weapon’s specialization tree allows you to choose between two nodes that differently impact your gun’s damage, accuracy, hip fire, or control attributes. Depending on your style of play, you may favor specific characteristics over others. Using weapon specializations you can tweak a gun’s behavior to conform to your preferences.

How to Unlock Weapon Specializations

To unlock and equip weapon specializations you have to use the gun in question. As you earn points and kills with it, your experience level will rise, eventually unlocking the different tiers of specializations. With a small expense of the in-game currency, you can then unlock a specialization and equip it if its benefits are to your liking.
