In Destiny 2: Forsaken, the Spider sells Wanted Bounties but requires Ghost Fragments as payment. Here’s how to get this strange currency.
Destiny 2 is filled with many currencies, ranging from Glimmer to Legendary Shards, Strange Coin, and a large variety of Planetary Materials. But perhaps the strangest currency of all are the Ghost Fragments that the Spider, the Fallen vendor in the Tangled Shore, covets so highly.
How to Get Ghost Fragments
After you’ve met the Spider and progressed past the High Plains Blues mission in Destiny 2: Forsaken, you will be tasked with earning the Spider’s trust by performing bounties for him. You now strike out into the Tangled Shore in pursuit of some of his regular Bounties, and you will notice that you start getting Ghost Fragments to drop. You will find these consumable items by opening region chests, resource chests, and by defeating yellow-bar enemies in the Tangled Shore. Your best bet to get the Ghost Fragments you need is to participate in public events in the Tangled Shore, which will also satisfy one of the Spider’s other Bounties.
Ghost Fragments appear in your inventory in the Consumables section and will stack up to 10 high. Once you’ve reached 10 of them, you can no longer pick up anymore, so be sure to cash them in on Wanted Bounties.
What are Ghost Fragments
If you’ve ever paid attention to the Spider while dealing with him, you’ll notice that he likes to play around with broken Ghosts. He seems to have some obsession with Ghost Fragments and covets them so highly that he will only let you attempt his Wanted Bounties if you pay him in Ghost Fragments.
There doesn’t seem to be a lot more information on precisely what the Spider wants these Ghost Fragments for, but rest assured, it’s probably not a good reason.
