Albedo, the famous Mondstadt Alchemist is a Geo character who fights with a sword. He can be an extremely strong secondary DPS character, and you will get great results by switching to him and using his abilities as they come off cooldown, then switching back to your main DPS character.
Albedo’s Elemental Skill is Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma. He creates a Solar Isotoma which deals area of effect Geo DMG. Enemies within the Solar Isotoma zone take damage and the Solar Isotoma will generate Transient Blossoms which deal further area of effect Geo DMG. DMG dealt scales off Albedo’s DEF stat, so this is an important aspect of his build, and you should be looking for the DEF sub stat on his Artifacts. Transient Blossoms can only be generated once every 2 seconds.
His Elemental Burst skill is Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide. This causes a surge of Geo crystals to burst, dealing more area of effect Geo damage directly in front of Albedo. If a Solar Isotoma that Albedo has created is present, 7 Fatal Blossoms will be generated in the field, blooming and causing more Geo damage.
Passives
- Transient Blossoms generated by Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma deal 25% more DMG to enemies whose HP is below 50%.
- Using Rite of Progeniture: Tectonic Tide increases the Elemental Mastery of nearby party members by 125 for 10s.
- When Albedo crafts Weapon Ascension Materials, he has a 10% chance to receive double the product.

Weapons
Skyward Blade will be a solid option for Albedo, although it can only be earned from Wishes and is a 5-Star weapon. This sword will help his energy recharge, and increase his CRIT Rate.
Another great option for Albedo is Festering Desire from the Chalk Prince and Dragon event. This will increase Elemental Skill damage by 16 to 32% and Elemental Skill Crit rate by 6 to 12%. This is great, as you can cast his abilities, switch to your main DPS, and still benefit from the increased stats.
Artifacts
For Artifacts, Noblesse Oblige is a great option, as it will benefit the whole party. The Noblesse Oblige set can be found at the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern in Liyue. You only need two parts to get an Elemental Burst damage increase of 20%. You can also opt for two parts of the Gladiator’s Finale, dropped by Elite and Weekly Bosses, to get 18% extra ATK.
