Adidas and Pokémon appear to be teaming up for some Pokémon themed sneakers. Images of the Sneakers surfaced on social media, showing a Pokémon themed styling of a traditional Adidas design.

The first image to surface was of the above Pikachu inspired design. They look nice and visually busy, which is what a lot of people want from a sneaker. The traditional design works pretty well with the shock of yellow on the back, and the Pikachu design on the inside panel that replaces the traditional triple stripe on that side. There is a Poke Ball on the inner tongue of the shoe, with the Pokémon logo emblazoned on the outside of the tongue.

There is also a Squirtle version, which is obviously the superior shoe because Squirtle is the superior Pokémon. I find people can be a bit precious about this sort of thing, but once the price is right, I might just pick up a pair of the Squirtle ones. As I already said, he IS the superior Pokémon.

There is currently no official information on a release date for either pair, or if more will be coming, but we will keep you up to date as we learn more. I’m actually hoping there will be more pairs. While Squirtle kicks would be great, it is hard to deny that Charmander would look absolutely great on there as well.
