Dr. Mario World releases on July 10 for iOS and Android. In the run-up to the game’s release, Nintendo released a video detailing how multiplayer is going to work in their new puzzle game. Players should know that the game only releases on specific platforms in some regions.

Dr. Mario World has players trying to clear their screen of viruses by using medicine capsules. The game features real-time multiplayer versus play, where both players going head to head as they send viruses to their opponent’s screen. If a player’s screen fills up, then they lose. All players can connect with friends through Facebook, or Line, check out each other’s stats and records, and play in versus mode.

In versus mode, eliminating viruses fills a player’s attack meter, which they can spend to send viruses to their opponent’s screen. Different characters have a unique set of abilities and ratings. Some are better at defending, while others have better attack power. The distinct skills each figure comes with directly makes them stand out from one another. Dr. Peach’s ability destroys an entire column, while Dr. Toad’s ability deletes five random objects from the screen.
