Today’s new update to Pokemon GO didn’t just bring new Lures to the game; it also brought new Pokemon as well! New Sinnoh Pokemon have arrived in the game, and people are already seeing them pop up all over the place. Only three have been officially confirmed, but people have been noticing new Pokemon pop up all over the place.

We’re excited to announce that more Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region are coming to Pokémon GO! From seas and beaches to mountains and beyond, be on the lookout for Cherubi, Gible, Hippopotas, and others. We hope you’ll enjoy the fun and surprises as you encounter these Pokémon in the wild and hatch them from Eggs.

Cherubi, Gible, and Hippoptas have all been confirmed by Niantic, but Gabite, Burmy, and Shellos have all been spotted as well. As the update just dropped, it is hard to know exactly what new Pokemon are in the game, but all of the above have been seen by the player so far.

This on top of the new Glacial, Mossy, and Magnetic lures that allow people to evolve Pokemon like Glaceon and Leafeon, and Magneton and Probopass. To get your hands on the new Lures, you will need to purchase them via the in-game shop for Poke Coins.

It looks like a lot of Pokemon Trainers out there are going to have a hectic weekend ahead of them as they try to catch all the new Pokemon that are in the game. I also feel like there are other secrets to be discovered about this update, as Niantic ended their update post with the following line, “What other surprises will you discover? The only way to find out is to get out and GO!”.

That seems like a secret to me, and the only way to find out what it is will be to get out and play.
