Produced by Warner Bros., Legendary Pictures, and The Pokémon Company, the film takes place in Ryme City and centers around the exploits of a former Pokémon trainer who hooks up with a talking Pikachu that previously belonged to his father. Together, they set out to find out what happened to his father, who recently disappeared.
This is the first live-action Pokémon movie, and we can all assume if it does well, then we will see a lot more of them coming to cinemas, and a lot more special events like this coming to Pokémon GO.
