Tickets for this year’s Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago North are now officially sold out, Niantic has confirmed over on social media.
The company has been selling tickets by lots for both Early Access and General Admission the past few weeks, asking players to have hope that they draw the right straw to buy tickets for the event in the next few weeks.

The event, taking place in Grant Park, Chicago, from June 13 to 16, 11 am to 7 pm local time will see an abundance of events on offer for event goers as well as rare Pokémon spawns. In last year’s Pokémon Go Fest, eventgoers were rewarded with a chance to claim the legendary Pokémon Celebi before the rest of the world.
The event is likely to follow suit again this year with increased rare Pokémon spawns and perhaps some events along the way. Trainers in Europe will also get their own Pokémon Go Fest in Dortmund, Germany, in August.
Fans have been upset by the way Niantic has been handling ticket sales but don’t be discouraged if you haven’t got a ticket yet. The drawings for tickets are still ongoing, so continue checking both your primary email inbox and spam folders, and the in-app Events tab to see if you’ve been chosen!
