Niantic has released a new short trailer for Pokemon Go that has teased the inclusion of fourth generation Pokemon.
The short trailer, lasting only 20 seconds, shows off Piplup, Chimchar, and Turtwig, which are the three main starter Pokemon for the fourth generation of Pokemon titles. The trailer also teases some of the region’s legendary Pokemon near the end, seeming to hint at new legendary raids coming quite soon.
Generation four Pokemon have been a highly requested inclusion for some time now from Pokemon Go players. Those same fans will have to wait for a little whole longer, however, to learn when they will be added to the game. If generation three is anything to go by though, it won’t take long for Niantic to flip the switch and add these sought-after Pokemon to the mobile title.
The Pokemon will be based on creatures from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, which were released for the Nintendo DS back in 2006. The fourth generation took us to Sinnoh, where trainers needed to fight off the evil Team Galactic from taking over the world. The fourth generation was the first game to be released on the Nintendo DS and was followed by the Johto remakes of HeartGold and SoulSilver.
