With the last Pokemon GO fest just around the corner, Niantic have announced a global event to celebrate.
The last Pokemon GO Fest of the year will be taking place in Yokohama, Japan, and to celebrate Niantic are bring a very special guest. Thankfully, this will also be a special global event, so everyone will have a chance to get their hands of various hat-wearing Pikachus.

From August 6, 10 AM JST to August 12 5 PM JST, a different hat-wearing Pikachu will be appearing in the game each day. You’ll need to be out and about each day if you want to catch them all.
On top of that, the usual Global Challenges will be taking place
The next group of challenges takes place from August 5 until Aug 12 and tie into Pokemon Go Fest Yokohama. The challenges and rewards will be as follows:
- Go Fest attendees: Complete 2 million research tasks for tripled catch Stardust
- Team Instinct—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for guaranteed 3,000 Stardust per raid
- Team Valor—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for tripled hatch Stardust
- Team Mystic—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for 1-hour Star Pieces
The rewards from Pokemon Go Fest Yokohama go from Aug. 13 until Aug. 20. Make sure you grab your Straw Hat Pikachu so you can look dapper as you try to beat these challenges.
