Pokémon Go’s Halloween event to feature Giratina, Spiritomb, new Sinnoh Pokémon, and more

Did we also mention an abundance of avatar items and double candy? There is seriously a lot to do these next few weeks.

Niantic is set to make Pokemon Go players very happy this Halloween with an abundance of new things to do this holiday season.

For starters, the first Sinnoh Legendary Pokemon will be stepping into raids starting today and will be available until Nov. 20. That’s right folks, Giratina is here— so stock up on a strong team of Ice, Ghost, Dragon, and Dark-type Pokemon and get out there!

There will also be a ton of new Sinnoh Pokemon added to the game to join the 20-plus that were released last week. These include Drifloon and Stunky.

To help trainers evolve these Pokémon faster, Niantic is also allowing trainers to earn double candy for every Pokémon caught from now until Nov. 1, so use this as your chance to get as many Pokémon evolved as possible.

Alongside the event, Spiritomb officially joins the game. To unlock this rare Hoenn Pokémon, you’ll need to complete special research tasks set by Professor Willow to add it to your collection.

New avatar items, missions, and a host of other features have also been added to the game to celebrate Halloween, so there is a bunch of stuff available to do for the next few weeks.
