Niantic has announced a new Safari Zone for Pokemon Go happening in Montreal this year on September 20
With all of the news revolving around Pokemon Sword and Shield, it’s easy to forget there’s plenty of other Pokemon games to play while waiting for the Nintendo Switch’s first main-line game. A new Safari Zone got announced for Pokemon GO, and it’s coming to Canada, specifically in Montreal this Sept. 20 to the 22.
The event is going to take place in Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada. It’s going to happen at Parc Jean-Drapeau. Because it is a Safari Zone, players do need to be in these specific locations to participate in the event. Players who wish to participate at these events are going to need to purchase tickets.
Pokemon GO developers Niantic have yet to reveal the exact details and pricing of the event, so we’re going to get to those details sometime in the future. Right now, we do know what Pokemon are going to show up during the event. We have them listed below.
- Flygon
- Ninjask
- Ponyta
- Tropius
- Unown
- Yanma
For those eagerly awaiting to acquire these Pokemon and you’re in Montreal, make sure you grab your ticket when they become available. Anyone who lives in Canada is going to see these creatures showing up more often as they wander around in their area, despite not being in Montreal. Yanma is going to show up more frequently around the world for every other Pokemon GO trainers who cannot participate in the event, and who do not live in Canada.
We’re going to learn more details as they come out, and we’ll ensure all Montreal Pokemon GO participates know when the tickets go on sale. These details should come out in the next few weeks, before the event, giving everyone who buys one plenty of time to prepare. The Canadian Pokemon GO Safari Zone event takes place from Sept. 20 to the 22.
