Straw Hat Pikachu Arrives in Pokémon GO from July 22 through July 29

Yet another hat-loving Pikachu is about to arrive in Pokemon GO, but you will have limited time to catch him.

Pokemon GO has a few hat-loving Pikachu in it already, but another one is on the way. From July 22 to July 29, you will be able to catch Straw Hat Pikachu and add him to your Pokedex. The new Pikachu appear in the wild, so you should have plenty of chances to catch him and establish yourself as a trainer with taste and style.

From July 22, 2019, at 1:00 PM through July 29, 2019, at 1:00 PM local time, you might get lucky and run into Straw Hat Pikachu while you are heading to a Raid, or getting those Pokestops spinning. If you want to coordinate your fashion choices with your new buddy, you can snap up a straw hat for your Trainer Avatar.

Pokemon GO has been celebrating its third anniversary, and Straw Hat Pikachu is more of a summer celebration addition. The game has provided an almost nonstop list of activities for players to enjoy over the last few weeks. Global Challenges based around the various Pokemon Go Fests have gotten us all kinds of rewards and bonuses, and even access to Raids.

The next group of challenges takes place from August 5 until Aug 12 and tie into Pokemon Go Fest Tokyo. The challenges and rewards will be as follows:

• Go Fest attendees: Complete 2 million research tasks for tripled catch Stardust
• Team Instinct—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for guaranteed 3,000 Stardust per raid
• Team Valor—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for tripled hatch Stardust
• Team Mystic—Complete 25 million research tasks globally for 1-hour Star Pieces

The rewards from Pokemon Go Fest Tokyo go from Aug. 13 until Aug. 20. Make sure you grab your Straw Hat Pikachu so you can look dapper as you try to beat these challenges.
