Niantic and The Pokémon Company have announced a new activity on its official web page, set to take place this Sunday, Nov. 24. During that time, Team GO Rocket will move in to take over more PokeStops, attempting to capture more Pokémon in their wake.

“There will be an increased amount of Team GO Rocket activity in your area soon, and we’re sure this won’t be the last time,” the team noted.

The event will take place from 11am to 1pm in local time zones. Players are told to keep an eye open for Team GO Rocket Grunts at every Pokestop during the course of the event.

In addition, Exclusive Field Research tasks will be given by Professor Willow, which will help provide more details on just what Team GO Rocket is up to. (Hint: it’s probably no good.)

With this, players have two different missions to follow over the course of the event, as listed below:

  • Battle Team GO Rocket Grunts, collect Mysterious Components, craft Rocket Radars, and defeat the Team GO Rocket Leaders as many times as you can! Remember — after you craft your first Rocket Radar, you’ll be able to purchase additional Rocket Radars in the shop!
  • Complete the tasks above to make progress on the Special Research Looming in the Shadows, which will lead you straight to the Team GO Rocket Boss, Giovanni!

Players are encouraged to share their gameplay adventures on social media with the hashtag #TeamGoRocket. In addition, anyone that needs tips during this event can do so by opting to receive push notifications and emails from the app.
