150 Heirloom Shards

How to get Heirloom Shards from the Anniversary Collection Event in Apex Legends

Heirloom Shards are easier to get than ever before.

In Apex Legends, Heirloom Shards have always been a mysterious and highly coveted crafting material. Ever since their addition to the game, the only way to get them was a 1/500 chance in an Apex Pack, or open 500 Apex Packs for a guarantee Heirloom Shard drop on the 500th pack you open. That all changed with the Anniversary Collection Event.

Getting 150 Heirloom Shards

This is the first event in which you are able to unlock, not an Heirloom melee weapon itself, like the usual Collection Events, but a set of 150 Heirloom Shards: the exact cost of an Heirloom. This will allow players to choose whichever Heirloom they want.

The way players can unlock these shards is the same way as the previous Heirlooms were unlocked: buy buying out the entire collection for the event. The collection consists of 24 Event Packs, each costing 700 Apex Coins, but you can also use Crafting Metals to buy individual items.

Keep in mind, there are also bundles in the store to making unlocking everything at once easier. However you buy the other pack, if you are okay with waiting, it’s best to leave two of the Event Packs not-purchased, as you will get two Event Packs for free if you complete all of the Anniversary Collection Event Prize Tracker. The Anniversary Collection consists of 18 Legend skins and 6 weapon skins.
