Marvel's Avengers

Marvel’s Avengers hub guide – Factions and Vendors

Get to know the NPCs of the Chimera Helicarrier and the Ant Hill.

You’ll spend a lot of your time in Marvel’s Avengers in the Chimera, the Helicarrier that serves as the hub outpost for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. As you progress through the game’s campaign missions, the once derelict base will be teaming with activity. Similar to the Tower in Destiny, the Chimera will be where the player goes to talk to NPCs for sidequests and gear.

Hank Pym’s own base, the Ant Hill, will eventually open up too. Here are the faces in the Chimera and the Ant Hill that you’ll be getting familiar with.

Alisande Morales – SHIELD Faction Coordinator

To keep Marvel’s Avengers fresh, Faction leaders will provide you with daily and weekly Assignments, along with daily Missions. These Assignments are rotating challenges (i.e. defeat a certain number of enemies), while Missions will usually take form of difficult Villain Sectors.

One of the main Factions in the game is S.H.I.E.L.D., the agency associated with the Avengers. Alisande Morales is the liaison to the Avengers, and she’ll depend on you to help S.H.I.E.L.D., now struggling after A-Day ruined their reputation and allowed AIM to seize their assets. Alisande is on the second floor of the Chimera, overlooking the War Table from above.

Chasity McBryde – Cosmetic Vendor

If you have the coolest cosmetics in Marvel’s Avengers, then you best flaunt them to other players. Cosmetics include outfits, emotes, takedowns, and nameplates. All of these can be earned through specific challenges or through the Hero Challenge Cards, but S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Chasity McBryde will have a rotating selection of Cosmetics for you on the Chimera. These are purchasable through Units, the digital currency earned in-game.

Sidney “Gaffer” Levine – Faction Vendor

Once Sidney “Gaffer” Levine is done being an Avengers fanboy, he’ll be able to offer you gear from his area in the Chimera hanger. By leveling up in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Faction through Faction Missions and Assignments, you’ll have more access to Gaffer’s wares of high-level Gear and Artifacts.

Sarah Garza – Inhuman Alliance Faction Coordinator

As the leader of the Inhuman Alliance Faction, Sarah Garza will be quite happy to have help from the Avengers. Sarah serves the same role in giving daily and weekly Missions and Assignments to players, and you can find her in the Ant Hill past the War Table.

Roy – Gear Vendor

Hank Pym’s trusty robot Roy will have a rotating selection for Gear for you to purchase. Rather than buying Gear through Units, you’ll be exchanging Resources from the field instead. Roy Model-B is to the right upon entering the Ant Hill from Theo’s portal, but after the campaign mission called To Stand Alone, Roy Model-G will appear in the Chimera to the right of Chasity McBryde’s own shop.

Dr. Madame Curie “Maddy” Cho – Inhuman Alliance Faction Vendor

The chirpy Dr. Madame Curie “Maddy” Cho likens herself as the smartest person in the Ant Hill. By leveling up in the Inhuman Alliance Faction, Maddy will have more Gear and Artifacts to offer the player. Be sure to visit her lab in the Ant Hill past Sarah Garza’s office whenever you reach a new Faction level.
