You can find all the steps laid out below, including what you need to do.

Step 1

Earn 42 Cabal Gold in strikes, Gambit, Crucible, Public Events, dungeons, Nightmare Hunts, or the Blind Well. This is quick and easy, just make sure you are not already at maximum Gold.

Step 2

Socket a Medallion in the Hammer of Proving. If you already have one, you can either use it in a Battleground to get rid of it, or simply replace it with another one.

Step 3

Complete a Battleground in the Battleground’s Playlist of the Vanguard section of the Director.

Step 4

Return the HELM at the Tower and speak with The Crow. You can find him hanging out in the back of the room where you spawn in.

Step 5

Defeat Vex at the Asterion Abyss on Europe to collect Vex Memory Fragments. This is quick and easy, as there are Vex everyone in the area. The Memory Fragments are not a guaranteed drop, but they are quite common.

Step 6

Complete the Perdition Lost Sector in Cadmus Ridge, Europa.

Step 7

Complete The Pit Lost Sector under Firebase Hades on the EDZ and defeat combatants.

Step 8

Wreck Havoc in Legion’s Anchor on the EDZ. Extra progress is awarded for Grenade kills, Grenade Launcher kills, and Rocket Launcher kills.

Step 9

Complete the Skydock IV Lost Sector in the EDZ.

Step 10

Return to the Crow in the HELM.

Step 11

Debrief Lord Saladin at the War Table

Overall, it is a fairly straightforward quest that pushes forward the story of the season, and you mostly just need to kill a lot of things. Also, more Crow in anything is always a good move for Destiny 2, if you ask us.
