After having stacks of ingredients saved up in the inventory, players will easily be able to cook any meal whenever they need it to complete quests and feed their character. How To Make Marinated Herring in DDV
Making Marinated Herring is a pretty easy meal that requires two ingredients. However, players will need to have a couple of biomes unlocked in order to retrieve the ingredients.
Players will need first to have Forest of Valor unlocked, as well as either one of Dazzle Beach and/or Glade of Trust. Below are the ingredients needed to prepare this 2-star dish.
- Herring – Dazzle Beach/Glade of Trust
- Onion – Forest of Valor

The herring fish can be fished up by any of the white bubble areas in Glade of Trust or Dazzle Beach, and it is a pretty common fish. Bringing along a resident assigned with the fishing role will also help catch multiple of the same fish so players can make multiple of the same meal or make a different one later on.
For Onions, players can purchase them from Goofy’s Stall in the Forest of Valor, but if he doesn’t have them on that day, players can buy the seeds and grow them. After getting these two ingredients, head over to a stove and combine them together with one piece of coal, and that will make Marinated Herring. This meal will not put back as much health as other meals, but it is an easy and simple one that newer players can use while gaining up a backlog of ingredients.
