Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a game meant for all ages. This wasn’t an issue in terms of the game itself because there is no voice chat or way to have user input directly seen by others: except for username. This wasn’t an issue on console, because Playstation has their own system of vetting usernames.
However, Steam allows content that might not be as appropriate for young players to see. This caused all Steam players to have their username replaced with a number instead, and it’s been that way until the Season 2 Mid Season update, where you can now get a randomly generated name instead. Here is how to change your username in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.
Changing your name
When you log into Fall Guys for the first time since the update, you will already have a randomly assigned name. If you like it, you can keep it without any changes. But what if you don’t?
Step 1: Go to the Settings (gear icon) tab. There will be a new option that wasn’t previously there, and that is exactly what you need. To change your name, click the Profile button with the Fall Guys face on it.
Step 2: The button will bring up a new screen where you can see your banner in full, so you can see how everything looks as a whole. On keyboard, you will press ‘P’, on controller press whichever button is prompted to you.
This will generate a new name for you, built up of three different Fall Guys-inspired words: Two adjectives, and a noun. You can randomize your name as many times as you want until you find the right one. There is no way to undo a randomization, so if you find one you like, be sure to stick with it.
