When Overwatch 2 releases, it will bring many changes to help make the game feel different from what you have played before. These changes include a dedicated Story Mode, more PvE experiences in Hero Missions, and new maps and heroes to bolster the game’s roster further. However, changes are not reserved for solely new items, as all 32 playable heroes in the first game will be sporting new looks in Overwatch 2. Here is a look at every returning hero in Overwatch 2 and the changes done to make them stand out. Related: All character changes coming in Overwatch 2 All new hero base looks in Overwatch 2 Ana Screenshot by Gamepur Ana appears to be hiding quite a bit more gear under her cloak. She has a new bandanna or cloth covering the eye she was shot in and she has a white handkerchief around her neck. Ashe Screenshot by Gamepur Ashe's hair seems to be a little shorter than in the first game and she is also wearing a completely new jacket and boots. The hat looks the same, if not very similar, and she still prefers the rolled up sleeves look, but has armor covering her arms. B.O.B. appears to be mostly the same from the first game. Baptiste Screenshot by Gamepur Baptiste is rocking a new haircut in Overwatch 2 along with some lighter colored armor. Game director for Overwatch 2 Aaron Keller says the team wants to make sure to keep Bap's medic feel to him, so he has some new gloves to convey that. Bastion Screenshot by Gamepur Bastion has gotten a significant rework to his gameplay in Overwatch 2, but not much of a cosmetic change. His biggest update is that he is now wearing one of Torbjorn's old hats showing the friendship they have made. Brigitte Screenshot by Gamepur Brigitte has new armor to match alongside Reinhardt's new get-up. Her ponytail seems to be a little higher than before, but overall, this is a very faithful redesign. Doomfist Screenshot by Gamepur Doomfist has a new darker tone to his gauntlet and appears to be wearing some coat or vest that covers his right side. His belt and pants have some new frills to them. D.Va Screenshot by Gamepur D.Va has received some new armor, going away from the bodysuit she wore in the first game. Her hair is in a ponytail now, and her MEKA has been greatly updated with white and purple tones accompanying a different shade of pink. Genji Screenshot by Gamepur Genji is finally going to put on some clothes and stop running around naked. He’s got some pants, a hoodie, and the holder for his sword is slightly updated. Hanzo Screenshot by Gamepur Hanzo is wearing a full shirt in Overwatch 2, covering up the portion of his dragon tattoo that goes over his breast. His beard is a little thicker and the gray in his hair may be a little more pronounced. Junkrat Screenshot by Gamepur Junkrat is sporting some new red pants and his Rip-Tire has gotten a complete overhaul. He isn't wearing as much armor as other heroes in the sequel, but what did you expect from a maniac like him? Lucio Screenshot by Gamepur Lucio’s whole get-up is changing in Overwatch 2. His hair won’t stick out as much as it did before, and there’s a new green neon highlight to it. He is now wearing armor on his upper half to along with his legs, but overall his armor looks similar, sticking with his usual green and blue scheme, just with more black in it. McCree Screenshot by Gamepur Overwatch’s favorite cowboy is getting some new body armor to go with a slightly longer beard. He is keeping his red serape, but it is altered this time around. Overall, McCree looks similar to his y iteration in Overwatch, BAMF belt buckle, and all. Mei Screenshot by Gamepur The fluffy aspects of Mei’s outfit in the first game are being toned down in Overwatch 2. The blue scheme in her jacket and boots is more pronounced, and her hair has been slightly changed. Mercy Screenshot by Gamepur Mercy has an entirely new hairdo in Overwatch 2 and a new halo-like visor to accommodate for it. Her wings are updated to include the golden tone from when they spread out, and her armor is much more noticeable this time. Moira Screenshot by Gamepur In the time since the first game, Moira has obviously been continuing experimenting on herself by the look of her arm continuing to become more purple and veiny. She has some new leg armor, and a new coat. Orisa Screenshot by Gamepur Efi must have done some significant upgrades on Orisa considering her gameplay changes to go along with the new headwear she has. Her horns are not nearly out there as they were before and her torso is silver now. Pharah Screenshot by Gamepur Pharah received minimal changes to her look. Her visor is now transparent, and her armor had some slight color changes. Reaper Screenshot by Gamepur Reaper’s outfit has much more silver and red worked into the mix to go with his overall black scheme. His coat and guns are both different, with the armor on his arms easier to make out. The spine armor on his back is much more suited with his new look as well. Reinhardt Screenshot by Gamepur Brigitte has updated Reinhardt’s armor from version eight to nine, as you can see by his shoulder. He will not have a helmet this time around, giving his hair room to breathe in a new ponytail, and his chest bears the same symbol as his shield. The red accents in his old armor have been replaced with more pronounced yellow markings to match Brigitte's. Roadhog Screenshot by Gamepur Roadhog is rocking a mohawk these days and wearing red and silver armor like Junkrat instead of the old yellow painted ones they had previously. Sigma Screenshot by Gamepur Sigma's armor has gone from a dark turquoise to a more light silver in the new game. He still doesn't wear any shoes because he floats everywhere. Soldier 76 Screenshot by Gamepur Soldier 76 has abandoned the lower half mask that he wore in the first Overwatch and we can see his grizzled beard for the first time. His jacket and armor has been updated as well, but is very reminiscent of what was there before. Sombra Screenshot by Gamepur Sombra's outfit is a lighter purple tint than it was in the first Overwatch and this time you can actually see the circuitry running throughout her clothes. Like many other characters, she doesn't look starkly different from the first game, but you can see how much detail was added into her. Symmetra Screenshot by Gamepur Symmetra has received a slightly adjusted visor and completely new outfit. She is also adorned with jewelry this time around. Torbjorn Screenshot by Gamepur Torbjorn is sporting some new goggles instead of the welder mask he had in the first game. His claw has been slimmed down a little and you can actually see the smoke emitted from his backpack now. His beard is more braided than it was before as well. It doesn't appear that Torb has put on any additional armor aside from new knee guards, but his overall outfit nails home his love for working in his shop. Tracer Screenshot by Gamepur Tracer’s goggles are much less bulky than they were in the first Overwatch, and it looks like she has a new case for her chronal accelerator on her chest. She has new tights that are a little shorter than before with no straps around her legs, and her arm bracers no longer have the wide-winged angles to them. Widowmaker Screenshot by Gamepur The most significant change to Widowmaker is her hair is now braided instead of being in a long ponytail. Her spider visor has been changed out, and she has more armor on her torso than she did before. Winston Screenshot by Gamepur At first look, Winston looks very similar in Overwatch 2. His glasses are the same ones from before (the ones he got from his mentor, Harold Winston), but he has a whole new set of armor, now with an Overwatch patch on the shoulders. His old armor was from the Horizon Lunar Colony, so it was probably past due for an update from a lore perspective. His jetpack has also been changed out for Overwatch 2. Wrecking Ball Screenshot by Gamepur Our furry little friend Hammond is wearing a new suit very reminiscent of Winston's old look (maybe given to him after they reunited?) and he is also wearing some work goggles. His Wrecking Ball mech has new accent pieces added to it. Zarya Screenshot by Gamepur Zarya has a new hairstyle, now with the sides shaved. Her tattooed arm has greatly been added to and she is wearing completely new armor. Zenyatta Screenshot by Gamepur Zenyatta is donning some new robe pants and a scarf. His orbs have also taken on a new design, but overall he should be very familiar.
