City Reputation is an upcoming system in Genshin Impact that will allow you to earn regional reputation in exchange for improved ranking and rewards in those regions.
As you rank up, new rewards will be unlocked that will be extremely helpful as you play through the game.
Where to find Hertha, the City Reputation NPC in Mondstadt
You can find Hertha near the north wall, shown at the blue player indicator on the image above.
How to unlock the City Reputation System
You will need to reac Adventure Rank 25 or above, and have complete the following quests to unlock the relevant regional reputation systems:
- Mondstadt Reputation: Complete the archon quest “The Outlander Who Caught the Wind” Prologue: Act I.
- Liyue Reputation: Complete the archon quest “Farewell, Archaic Lord” Chapter I: Act II.
How to increase City Reputation
1. Region Quests: Complete various quests in Mondstadt and Liyue to increase your Reputation in each city.
2. World Exploration: Open chests, find Elemental Oculi, unlock Waypoints, and complete other exploration activities in the Liyue and Mondstadt regions to increase your Exploration Progress in each region.
3. Bounties: Hunt down and defeat the bounty targets to increase your Reputation in that city. The list of bounties will be refreshed every Monday. Each week you can complete up to 3 bounties in total across all cities.
4. Requests: Complete requests from the local residents to increase your Reputation in that city. The list of requests will be refreshed every Monday. Each week you can complete up to 3 requests in total across all cities.

New City Features
Mining Outcrop Search
You can unlock the Mining Outcrop feature at the following ranks:
- Reach Reputation Level 2 in Mondstadt to unlock Mondstadt Mining Outcrop Search.
- Reach Reputation Level 2 in Liyue to unlock Liyue Mining Outcrop Search.
When this feature is unlocked you can speak with Wagner the Blacksmith in Mondstadt, or Master Zhang the Blacksmith in Liyue. They will inform you about ore deposits in the region, causing markers to appear on your map. These ore desposits will reward you with Crystal Chunks, and after Adventure Rank 30 they will all reward you with Magical Crystal Chunks.
Merchant Discounts
At City Reputation level 4 in both Mondstadt and Liyue you will also unlock the Merchant Discounts feature. This will get you discounted prices at the Good Hunter and General Goods Store in Mondstadt, and the Wanmin Resturaunt and Second Life in Liyue.

- Reach Reputation Level 1 in Mondstadt to get the recipe for Northern Apple Stew.
- Reach Reputation Level 4 in Mondstadt to get the recipe for Adventurer’s Breakfast Sandwich.
- Reach Reputation Level 7 in Mondstadt to get the recipe for Moon Pie.
- Reach Reputation Level 1 in Liyue to get the recipe for Golden Shrimp Balls.
- Reach Reputation Level 4 in Liyue to get the recipe for Lotus Flower Crisp.
- Reach Reputation Level 7 in Liyue to get the recipe for Tianshu Meat.
Reputation Namecard Style
When you reach Reputation Level 4 in Mondstadt you will get the namecard style “Mondstadt – Hero’s Fame”. Reaching Reputation Level 7 will get you the namecard style “Mondstadt – Blessing”.
Reaching Reputation Level 4 in Liyue will get you the namecard style “Liyue – A Thousand Ships”. Reaching Reputation Level 7 will get you the namecard style “Liyue – In the Clouds”.
