How to do all An Inter-egg-sting Development tasks and rewards in Pokémon Go

Team Rocket is at it again in Pokémon Go, and they’re causing problems all around the world, attempting to use their shadow Pokémon to run more experiments. A new special research is available where trainers need to undergo several different tasks related to battling and taking down Team Rocket members in Pokémon Go, eventually working their way up to defeating Giovanni and rescuing Mewtwo. Previously, Shadow Mewtwo had only been available to trainers who captured it during Pokémon Go Fest 2020, but now the special research makes it so everyone can take part in the adventure and capture it.

You need to complete all tasks associated with the research to battle Giovanni and rescue Shadow Mewtwo at the end. The special research is also a way to introduce the new red eggs, which you acquire by battling and defeating Team Rocket leaders.

All An Inter-egg-sting Development tasks and rewards

We’ll be posting all of the tasks and the rewards you receive for completing them here when they go live. We do know you’ll receive a Larvitar, a red egg, and a Shadow Mewtwo for completing all tasks.

Task 1

• Spin 5 Poké Stops – 500 Star Dust
• Sping 30 Poké Stops and Gyms – 500 Stardust
• Catch 1 Shadow Pokémon – Meowth Encounter

Rewards: 500 Stardust, 10 Poké Balls, and 10 Razz Berries

Task 2

• Catch 5 Shadow Pokémon – 750 XP
• Make 3 Nice Curveball Throws in a row – 750 XP
• Purify 5 Shadow Pokémon – 750 XP

Rewards: 500 Stardust, 10 Great Balls, and a Larvitar encounter

Task 3

• Defeat a Team Rocket leader 3 times – 1,000 XP
• Hatch 3 eggs – 1,000 XP
• Earn 5 candies walking with your buddy – 1,000 XP

Rewards: 1,500 Stadust, 3 Golden Razz Berries, and a Toxicroak encounter

Task 4

• Defeat Team Rocket leader Arlo – 1,250 XP
• Defeat Team Rocket leader Cliff – 1,250 XP
• Defeat Team Rocket leader Sierra – 1,250 XP

Rewards: 5 Super Potions, 3 Revives, and 1 Super Rocket Radar

Task 5

• Find the Team Rocket Boss – 2,500 Stardust
• Battle the Team Rocket Boss – 1,500 XP
• Defeat the Team Rocket Boss – 3 Silver Pinap Berries

Rewards: 3,000 Stardust, 1 Fast TM, and 1 Charged TM

Task 6

• Claim Reward – 2,000 XP
• Claim Reward – 2,000 XP
• Claim Reward – 2,000 XP

Rewards: 3 Max Revives, 20 Ultra Balls, and 1 Elite Charged TM
