As you play through Animal Crossing: New Horizons you are going to gather up a lot of tools. A shovel, a Vaulting Pole, a Slingshot, your axe, it all adds up, and you will be constantly going in and out of your pocket to find what you need.
Well, there is a better way to do it, and that is the Tool Ring. The Tool Ring will add a radial menu that allows you to quickly and easily pick which tool you want at any given moment.
If you go and visit the Resident Services tent, and interact with the little kiosk in the front right corner, you will be able to spend your Nook Miles on certain items. Nooks Miles are earned just by playing the game and hitting certain milestones. You can check them in your Nook Phone, and they will always tell you what the next goal is. They are very easy to earn, so it won’t take you long to start racking them up.
You can purchase the Tool Ring at the kiosk for 800 Nook Miles, which is actually a pretty low price, given how fast you can earn them. Once you have the Tool Ring, you can just hold the up button on the D-Pad when you are out and about to open the Radial Menu for all your tools.
It is a great item to buy early, and just makes the transitions between exploring, harvest, and catching bugs much smoother.
